This beautiful indigo baule textile is 100% handcrafted and plant-based, from the fibers to the handprinted dyes. This indigo was made in West Africa where artisans have been perfecting their craft for centuries. Pattern placement of each bag will vary slightly and may or may not include a contrasting color embroidered patch.
All of my pieces are very small batch, limited edition, as these fabrics are one of a kind. Pattern placement may vary from the photos.
Small indigo baule & leather crossbody
The handcrafted vintage indigo baule is a rustic yet delicate textile. We will use a stain repellent on the fabric of your bag before sending it to you (but if you'd rather we don't, please add a note with your order to let us know). We recommended reapplying stain repellent occasionally to help keep the fabric clean. Dry cleaning is best if the bag needs deep cleaning. For spot cleaning, use a gentle soap, warm water, and a light touch to prevent the natural dyes from bleeding. Leather balm may be used to add suppleness to the leather as needed.
